Beehive Bread

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup warm milk.

  • 1/2 cup warm water.

  • 2 Tbsp youghurt.

  • 1 Tbsp Yeast.

  • 1 Tbsp Sugar.

  • 1 Tbsp Salt.

  • 1/4 cup Vegetable oil.

  • 5 cups flour.

  • Milk.

  • Sesame seeds.

  • Nigella Sativa

  • Filling: cheese, chicken and veggies, minced meat, chocolate chips....

  • Be creative! You can fill it with anything 🤗.


Directions:


  1. In a bowl mix the milk, water, youghurt, yeast, sugar, salt and vegetable oil.

  2. Add the flour and mix throughly until a dough forms.

  3. Brush the top of the dough with vegetable oil and let it rise for an hour.

  4. Cut the dough into small round balls.

  5. Bring a circular baking pan and brush it with vegetable oil.(Don't forget the sides)

  6. Take each ball and spread it on the table to make a circle, fill it with the chosen filling then round it back into a ball.

  7. Place the balls into the baking pan as shown in the pictures.

  8. Brush the top of the balls with milk and sprinkle sesame seeds and nigella seeds.

  9. Bake at 200°C until golden brown.

  10. Enjoy.


 

We made this as a dessert: we filled it with cheese then when it was done we poured on it honey or sugar syrup 😋.
