Coconut Bars

Ingredients:

  • 200 g of biscuits crumbs

  • 120-150 g of melted unsalted butter

  • 1 can of condensed milk (397g)

  • 2 cans of evaporated milk (170g each)

  • 2-3 cups of coconut (the finer the coconut, the more you need)

  • Vanilla

  • Chocolate chips, Chocolate shavings (shredded) for decoration

  • Blanched almonds split into halves


Directions:

  1. Place the biscuits crumbs in a bowl and add the melted butter to it and mix well.

  2. Line a baking tray with baking parchment and put the biscuit mix in pressing it down using a spoon to get a flat even surface. Let it cool in the fridge for 15 mins.

  3. In a bowl, mix the condensed milk, evaporated milk, vanilla and coconut well together.

  4. Pour the mix over the biscuits crust and level it well.

  5. Decorate with your choice of chocolate and almonds. I used both milk chocolate chips and dark chocolate shavings.

  6. Bake in a 180°C preheated oven for 25-30 min.

  7. Let it cool well before cutting it into squares.

  8. Enjoy!!!
